BEAT UNION: VAN AND TRAILER STOLEN IN CANADA

Official Press Release:

British rockers BEAT UNION's current single is titled "Can't Stop The Radio." The band also can't stop touring despite a curveball thrown their way this past weekend in Canada. While en route to launch their North American tour, the band was stranded in Edmonton after their van and trailer were stolen there. Both were recovered--albeit in bad shape--after a police chase early yesterday; click to see full story in the Edmonton Sun: HERE.

After subsequently being forced to cancel a handful of local dates, BEAT UNION are pleased to announce they'll start back up with Bedouin Soundclash this Friday, September 5 in Sudbury, Ontario. Also on tap: BEAT UNION will perform a one-off New York show with The Loved Ones September 14 at the Knitting Factory before joining Flogging Molly on their U.S. trek September 15 in Sayreville at the Starland Ballroom. Next up, the four-piece will team-up with Horrorpops for an October U.S. run before heading back overseas for a UK tour with Less Than Jake. After wrapping up a summer-long run on the Vans Warped Tour, BEAT UNION are continuing to receive acclaim for their debut album DISCONNECTED (Science). Outburn magazine hailed the album for the way it "combines youthful energy with an attentiveness to songcraft that is inspiring" (July, 2008). Elsewhere, writer George Paul noted in the I.E. Weekly that "...Disconnected, produced by Goldfinger's John Feldmann, bears traces of late '70s-era Jam, Clash, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Squeeze and The Police. The sharp album is one of the best debuts of '08 thus far" (6/18/08). 50,000 ESCAPE THE FATE FANS UNLOCK NEW SONG

Unexpected, gratifying and momentarily frustrating to some, the promotion that asked fans to gather 50,000 people on Escape the Fate's Buzznet page had such an overwhelming response in its final minutes, it managed to crash the big servers of the social networking giant that was hosting the promotion. While it may have only been for 15 minutes, that was a long 15 minutes to fans who had been parked on the page for more than a day, waiting to hear a new song from their favorite band.

The band released this statement via their Buzznet Journal:

"After 30 long hours we are so stoked you guys accomplished 50,000 people on here at ONE TIME!! Firstly, please accept my apologies on the lack of updates. I was involved in a horrible car accident a couple months back and have been seeing doctors and dealing with a lot ever since. However, I've been getting as much coverage on artists and shows as I can. In the next couple weeks, we'll have interviews with Boys Like Girls, The Used, Holiday Parade, Every Avenue, The Morning Light, The Audition, Mayday Parade, DangerRadio, Automatic Loveletter and more. We'll also be attending the Glamour Kills pre show bash in Poughkeepsie as well as the Bamboozle Festival, which we will be running around obtaining as much coverage as we are able too. We have lots to look forward too in the next couple of weeks!

KEVIN LYMAN PARTNERS WITH LIVE NATION TO BRING ROCKSTAR ENERGY MAYHEM FESTIVAL

Live Nation , the world's largest live music company, announced today that it has partnered with the creators of the hugely successful Van's Warped Tour and Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour to create The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival. The new hard music festival is set to play in 30 Live Nation amphitheaters across North America this summer. The lineup is expected to be announced by the festival promoters in the coming days. Rockstar Energy Drink will be the festival's title sponsor.
